Web Design
Design that looks good and works hard
Web Design Exeter
A good website should do more than look polished. It should help people understand what you offer, trust you quickly and take the next step without having to think too hard.
I design websites with structure, clarity and action in mind. Every layout is built around your goals, whether that is enquiries, bookings, sales, sign-ups or simply helping people understand your business more quickly.
Because my background is in tech support, I look at design through a practical lens. I care about how the site feels to use, how easy it is to manage, and whether the person landing on the page can find what they need without frustration.

Designed around your goals
Ideal for small businesses, independents and growing brands who want a website that feels clear, calm and easy to use.
- Brand-led colours and typography
- A clean, modern look that still feels personal to your business
- Clear page layouts that guide visitors naturally
- Mobile-first design for phones, tablets and desktops
- Strong visual hierarchy so key information stands out
- Calls to action placed where people expect them
- User-friendly navigation
- Page sections planned around your customer journey
- Trust-building content areas, such as reviews, FAQs and credentials
- Design that supports speed, accessibility and SEO
Clear flow
Visitors should not have to hunt for the next step.
I plan each page around what someone needs to know, feel and do. That might mean making your services easier to compare, bringing key benefits higher up the page, or turning a confusing page into a simple journey from introduction to enquiry.
Mobile-first thinking
Most people will meet your business on their phone first.
Your website needs to feel just as considered on a small screen as it does on desktop. I design with mobile behaviour in mind from the beginning, so buttons, forms, menus and content are easy to use wherever people find you.
Built with purpose
Pretty is not enough on its own.
A website can look beautiful and still fail if the message is unclear, the layout is confusing or the calls to action are buried. I design with purpose, making sure every section earns its place and helps move visitors towards the right action.
How pricing works
Every project is slightly different, so I quote based on the size, structure and complexity of the website you need.
You’ll receive a clear proposal before any work begins, with the scope, timeline and cost agreed upfront. No vague estimates, no surprise extras, and no hidden VAT additions as I am not currently VAT registered.
Why I don’t use generic templates
Templates can be useful, but they often force your business into someone else’s structure.
I design around your content, goals and audience instead. That means the finished website feels more natural, works harder for your business and is easier to grow over time.
